The Nunda Area Veteran's Team would like to thank the Bell Memorial Library for allowing us to conduct our survey and post this information!

Nunda News (local newspaper) on microfilm from 1859 to June 1982. The newspaper contains articles, obituaries, and other information relating to veterans and veterans organizations. There is no index.

Family and Individual Cards compiled by the late Town Historian Marjorie Frost. Mrs. Frost kept notes on area families and individuals on 3 X 5 cards which have been microfilmed. The cards contain references to Nunda News articles and other sources.

Oakwood Cemetery Records have been microfilmed. They are organized by section and include the person's named, date of birth, date of death, death of interment, cause of death, and location of grave. The records are not current.

Cemetery Records of Telegraph Hill, East Hill, and Seager Cemeteries. Unknown source. Contains gravestone inscription only, several area soldiers listed. Paper file found in folder in records room.

Local Maps and Atlas ( Livingston County 1858, 1872, 1902) (Genesee & Wyoming County 1866). Contains names of property owners which may.include area veterans

Photo Album. Unknown source. Includes early airplanes including military aircrafts. Located in Records room.

Records of Second and Fourth New York Regiments in the Revolutionary War. Published by the State of New York in 1932. Contains names of veterans, must look for names individually.

New York in the Revolution As Colony and State Vol 1. Published by New York State in 1904. Contains names which include individuals who later came to Nunda.

Hand, H. Wells. Centennial History of Nunda, 1908. Several copies (with index) of this local history work. Contains lists of Nunda veterans and soldiers from the Revolutionary War to the Spanish American War.

Revolutionary War Button Mounted on card. "Used by Nathan Cole during War, 1775" Located in Records room in envelope marked "Miscellaneous mementos".

Livingston County Histories (1876, 1881, 1905) Containing the names of Nunda soldiers and veterans and some local unit histories.

Early Settlers of New York State by Janet W. Foley Vol 1 including lists of Revolutionary Soldiers from throughout New York State. May contain people from Nunda and surrounding areas.
