Real Photo Postcard of the Nunda House, circa 1910

The Nunda House was one of many hotels that existed in the village of Nunda. It stood where the M & T bank now stands. Many older residents remember it as the Fox Hotel.

The original Nunda House was built from locally made brick in 1836 by William D. and Carlos Paine. The local businessman and banker John F. Barber added a third story in 1872. The Building was torn down in 1962. There is a photograph of the building being demolished in "Nunda, Portage, and Genesee Falls".
