The Gristmill

Postcard from a private collection

This is how our "Mill Street" got its name. This is the Nunda Gristmill which once stood on the eastern end of Mill Street. Built by Swain and Joslyn in 1828, the mill operated for many generations. The building was torn down in 1981.

This image comes from an undated postcard from the pre-1915 era.
