Pennsylvania Railroad Depot, Nunda NY

The two images below document an important part of our area's history. If any visitor has
addition views or memories of the Depot, please share them with us!

The Pennsylvania Railroad served the Nunda area for almost eighty years. The Genesee Valley Canal Railroad first came to Nunda in 1882. the line becoming the "Pennsy" in later years. This Depot once stood at West Nunda, but was moved on a flat car in 1896 to the corner of West and Second Streets.

This postcard shows the depot at that location around 1910. The image below may be a bit earlier. It was taken from a glass plate negative from around 1890-1900 era. Do you know the identity of any of the men in the photograph?

The depot, along with the "Pennsy", are now gone.
